About the Role:
Joseph Angelo MD LLC is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Bel Air, MD. This is a great opportunity to join a patient-focused medical office where your attention to detail and people skills will make a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
- Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EHR system
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming
Requirements:a or equivalent required
About Us:
- Prior experience in a medical receptionist or healthcare front desk role preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EMR software, and insurance verification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills and scheduling software
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered attitude
- High school diplom
